Kurt Busch Returns from Vacation

--- 4/24/05... We all need a vacation and I'm no exception, I'm just now getting back from mine. From all evident events of this past weekend, it appears that Kurt Busch is also back from a vacation, taking his first win of the season at Phoenix.

Busch's last win was last September at New Hampshire, which was the 2004 Cup Champion's one and only win in the final ten events of the Chase for the Championship. He also won the first event at New Hampshire, sweeping that venue, along with a win in the spring Bristol event.

This was the 11th trip to Victory Lane for Busch, in his fifth year as a full time Cup Series driver. Up to this point in his Cup Series Career, he's scored 39 top five finishes, 65 top ten finishes, and is second in the driver's point's standings.

Below, please see a chart I've made up of the top five finishers in the eight events we've had so far this season:

Track 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th
Daytona - J. Gordon Kt. Busch Earnhardt Riggs Johnson
California - Biffle Johnson Kt. Busch McMurray Edwards
Las Vegas - Johnson Ky. Busch Kt. Busch J. Gordon Harvick
Atlanta - Edwards Johnson Biffle Martin Kahne
Bristol - Harvick Sadler Stewart Earnhardt Jarrett
Martinsville - J. Gordon Kahne Martin Newman R. Wallace
Texas - Biffle McMurray Johnson Mears Marlin
Phoenix - Kt. Busch Waltrip J. Burton Earnhardt Vickers

Thanks for stopping by after I've been away for a few weeks! I hope to update the site more often these days, and will be adding to the above chart as the season progresses.
